Banksy started to create his first works in freeform in the underground scene of Bristol, at the community centre of Burton Hill. His first collaborations have been with the DryBreadZ Crew, tanking inspiration from local artists, using as nickname Tes and Kato.

In the years, the artist has been associated to many persons such as Robert del Naja of Massive Attack, Robin Cunningham and Mr Brainwash, but it has also been said that he might be a woman or, even, a group of artists. Very few are the people who have had the privilege to interview him, one of these is Simon Hattenstone from the Guardian Unlimited.
